Forbes is seeking a temporary Social Producer to help get our journalism in front of the right audiences across social platforms. This editorial role focuses on distribution: identifying the stories that matter, framing them for each platform and turning audience interest into readership for Forbes journalism.

The Social Producer will publish across Facebook, LinkedIn and X, while supporting emerging platforms including Threads, Bluesky and WhatsApp.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years in a digital newsroom or editorial role.
• Strong writing, copy-editing and news judgment.
• Experience publishing on Facebook, LinkedIn and X.
• Understanding of platform-specific audience behavior.
• Ability to use performance data to guide decisions.
• Experience creating basic social assets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, schedule and publish platform-specific posts across Facebook, LinkedIn, X.
• Move quickly during breaking news while maintaining Forbes’ standards.
• Select or create basic social assets, partnering with design and art teams on more complex packaging.
• Identify trends and opportunities on social platforms and communicate effectively with editors.
• Monitor performance and platform trends, using those insights to improve day-to-day publishing decisions and flag opportunities for the newsroom.
• Sharp news judgment, a strong understanding of the news cycle and a commitment to accuracy and journalistic standards.
