Job summary

Forbes is seeking a temporary Social Producer to help get our journalism in front of the right audiences across social platforms. This is an editorial role focused on distribution: identifying the stories that matter, framing them for each platform and turning audience interest into readership for Forbes journalism.

You’ll publish primarily across Facebook, LinkedIn and X, while supporting emerging platforms.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years in a digital newsroom, social editing, audience development or related editorial role.
• Strong writing and copy-editing skills.
• Hands-on experience publishing journalism across Facebook, LinkedIn and X.
• Understanding of platform-specific audience behavior, formats and best practices.
• Comfort using performance data to inform publishing decisions.
• Basic social asset creation is preferred.
• Video editing experience is a plus.
• Must be news-obsessed with quick, creative thinking.

Responsibilities

• Publish across Facebook, LinkedIn, X and emerging platforms.
• Move quickly during breaking news while upholding Forbes’ standards.
• Select or create basic social assets with design teams.
• Identify trends and opportunities on social platforms.
• Monitor performance and platform trends to guide publishing decisions.
