Job summary

Forbes is seeking a temporary Social Producer to help get our journalism in front of the right audiences across social platforms. This is an editorial role focused on distribution: identifying the stories that matter, framing them for each platform to turn audience interest into readership.

The Social Producer will publish primarily across Facebook, LinkedIn and X, with support for Threads, Bluesky and WhatsApp, working on breaking news, features, investigations, and major Forbes franchises

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years in a digital newsroom or editorial role.
• Strong news judgment and writing/copy-editing skills.
• Hands-on publishing experience on Facebook, LinkedIn and X.
• Ability to use performance data to inform publishing decisions.
• Basic social asset creation; video editing considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Publish platform-specific posts across Facebook, LinkedIn and X.
• Move quickly during breaking news while upholding Forbes standards.
• Select or create basic social assets in collaboration with design teams.
• Identify trends and opportunities on social platforms for editors.
• Monitor performance data to improve daily publishing decisions.
