Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience in a digital newsroom, social editing or related editorial role.
• Strong news judgment and excellent writing and copy-editing skills.
• Hands-on experience publishing journalism across Facebook, LinkedIn and X.
• Understanding of platform-specific audience behavior, formats and best practices.
• Comfort using performance data to inform publishing decisions.
• Basic social asset creation is preferred.
• Video editing experience is a plus.
• News obsession with fast, creative thinking to spot opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, schedule and publish platform-specific posts across Facebook, LinkedIn, X and emerging platforms.
• Move quickly during breaking news while maintaining Forbes standards for accuracy and sourcing.
• Select or create basic social assets, partnering with design and art teams.
• Identify trends and opportunities on social platforms and communicate with editors.
• Monitor performance and platform trends to improve day-to-day publishing decisions.
