Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking an Account Manager to drive growth in Southern California for our High Voltage Solutions business. The role targets new business development and expansion of strategic accounts, serving as the primary relationship owner for Solar Turbines.

You will engage end users, OEMs, and EPCs to deliver medium- and high-voltage motors and drives across oil & gas, power generation, and heavy industry, with remote/home-office work and substantial travel throughout the region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales, business development, account management, or related experience in industrial equipment or related industry.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience selling technical products or engineered solutions to industrial customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive bookings growth within an assigned Southern California territory and manage Solar Turbines accounts.
• Sell HV Solutions products—medium- and high-voltage motors, drives—to end users, OEMs, and EPCs.
• Plan and execute territory and account strategy independently, including pricing exceptions and major pursuit decisions.
• Develop and execute an annual account plan for Solar Turbines covering sites, units, and platforms.
• Build relationships across engineering, procurement, project management, and senior leadership.
• Lead RFQ to order close, incorporating customer feedback and adjusting strategy as needed.
• Review POs against quoted scope and terms; ensure alignment with delivery commitments.
