Job summary

The University of Miami Information Technology & Systems Department is seeking a full-time Systems Administrator to manage Slate and related enterprise applications. You will ensure performance, security, and recovery while provisioning, installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining software and infrastructure.

The role emphasizes collaborative work with stakeholders, change management, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Slate Certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience administering SaaS applications, preferably within higher education.
• Experience with administration, integrations, access controls, audits, change management, and recovery.
• Requirements analysis, process and data design, and third-party application management.
• Operational management: prioritization, resource planning, timely delivery, problem-solving, and process improvement.
• Clear documentation, stakeholder communication, client support, and technical tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitors system logs and activity.
• Installs, maintains, and updates project and task tracking tools.
• Manages account maintenance, including additions, changes, and removals.
• Maintains integrity of accounts and data.
• Manages security features to protect confidential information while allowing appropriate access.
• Researches, installs, and tests software updates and patches to support applications.
• Coordinates Slate support, incidents, upgrades, releases, and stakeholder communications.
• Administers Slate operations: workflows, forms, queries, portals, datasets, accounts, and scheduled tasks.
• Supports disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and remediation.
• Gathers requirements, recommends solutions, and designs Slate functionality and integrations.
