Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Project Manager Construction and Commissioning to lead field operations for complex projects in the United States. The role focuses on ensuring safe site work, quality, on-time delivery, and budget control, with oversight of subcontractors and vendor packages.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in project management within construction or commissioning, excellent English communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project management organization in Construction or Commissioning.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within USA up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Participate in site work strategy definition with the Project Director and Construction leader.
• Build the project financial and physical progress tracking structure for site works and update monthly.
• Perform weekly site schedule updates for planned vs. actual progress with site manager and project planner.
• Coordinate communications across project teams to support planning and execution.
• Participate in customer meetings and manage scope changes with stakeholders.
• Track site documentation for timely customer issuance (methods, quality plan, commissioning reports).
• Lead risk mitigation and opportunity assessment for site works.
• Prepare RFQs and purchase requests for site works subcontracting.
• Manage vendor packages at site (piping, painting, machining).
• Lead mobilization planning and tollgate reviews; ensure resources loading requirements.
