Job summary

Cisco Silicon One seeks a seasoned Signal and Power Integrity Technical Leader to head our ASIC packaging SI/PI efforts. You will guide design, verification, and post-layout extraction across interposer, substrate, and PCB, ensuring power, performance, and area targets are met.

Lead cross-functional collaboration with layout and system teams, mentor engineers, and help drive innovative packaging solutions for high-volume Cisco platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of relevant signal and/or power integrity experience.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of relevant signal and/or power integrity experience.
• PhD in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant signal and/or power integrity experience.
• Experience with multiple high-speed ASIC tape-outs from a package perspective.
• Experience with 56G PAM4 and above, high-speed SerDes architectures, and EM theory.
• Hands-on lab experience with Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS/EM flow, Cadence APD, and SPICE.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Signal and Power Integrity technical team to define, design, and verify ASIC packaging.
• Develop design rules for ultra-high-speed signaling ensuring power/performance/area goals.
• Analyze SI/PI and collaborate with layout to optimize interposer, substrate, and PCB solutions.
• Design and develop ASIC packages for high-volume, high-quality releases including post-layout extraction.
• Collaborate with system partners and vendors to resolve complex issues using advanced design rules.
• Define processes and tools for complex ASIC/package developments.
• Lead chip architecture discussions for high-performance ASICs and assess intricate IC/analog/mixed-signal designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and influence packaging/hardware teams to meet specs and innovation.
• Promote design reviews, postmortems, and continuous improvement across multi-disciplinary teams.
