Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support daily warehouse and distribution operations. You will process shipments, prepare documentation, coordinate carrier pickups, and ensure timely delivery of customer orders.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with overtime potential based on business need. Candidate will verify outbound shipments, prepare bills of lading, and track shipments to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous shipping, warehouse, or distribution experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems are needed.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify outbound shipments for accuracy.
• Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other documentation.
• Coordinate with carriers and transportation providers for pickups and deliveries.
• Track shipments and resolve shipping discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and inventory transactions.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely (pallet jacks, forklifts if certified).
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Communicate with warehouse, customer service, and leadership teams.
• Follow all company safety procedures.
