Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a remote ServiceNow Solutions Architect to lead architectural design and roadmaps for the ServiceNow platform across ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, CMDB, and SPM. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure solutions and serve as the primary technical liaison for integrations and data modeling.

The role requires deep ServiceNow expertise, governance experience, and a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 12+ years of ServiceNow experience (or commensurate experience).
7 years ServiceNow experience, with at least 3 years of architectural or lead design responsibility.
Deep expertise in ITSM, ITOM (Discovery/Service Mapping), ITAM, CMDB, SPM or others.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow data architecture, workflow engines, scripting (JavaScript/Glide), IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, Service Portal and UI Builder, and integration frameworks.
Experience with platform governance, solution review, and enterprise-scale implementation.
Proven experience architecting integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, or ETL tools.
Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Clearance Required: Ability to maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead the architectural design and roadmap for the ServiceNow platform—including ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, CMDB, SPM and other modules.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
Translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
Serve as the primary technical liaison for ServiceNow architecture, integrations, and data model strategy.
Establish and enforce platform governance, development standards, and best practices.
Oversee the configuration, customization, and deployment of ServiceNow applications.
Prepare architecture documentation, technical roadmaps, and design specifications.
Review and validate solutions developed by internal teams and vendors to ensure adherence to architectural guidelines.
Drive CMDB maturity, discovery architecture, service mapping, and data quality initiatives.
Architect and guide integrations using MID Servers, APIs, web services, and data exchange frameworks.
Conduct platform performance reviews and ensure system reliability, scalability, and security.
Optimize platform performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to ServiceNow developers and administrators.
Stay updated of ServiceNow releases, new capabilities, and emerging platform best practices.
Evaluate new ServiceNow features and recommend platform improvements.
