Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Serbian/Serbo-Croatian Over-the-Phone Interpreters to support USCIS contracts. This role provides real-time, telephonic interpretation for officers, applicants, and stakeholders, with emphasis on accuracy, neutrality, and confidentiality.

Remote work is available on a federal contract, with paid training and opportunities for advancement. Native or near-native fluency in Serbian/Serbo-Croatian and English, plus 2+ years’ interpreting experience, are required.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Serbian/Serbo-Croatian and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, government preferred).
• Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
• Strong telephone communication skills and ability to remain accurate under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Serbian / Serbo-Croatian English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
• Deliver services with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
• Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge calls.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
