Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Bulgarian over-the-phone interpreters to support our USCIS contract. This remote position offers competitive pay and opportunities for training, development, and career advancement in linguist leadership or quality assurance.

Qualified candidates are native or near-native in Bulgarian and English, with 2+ years of interpreting experience and a clear background in ethics, confidentiality, and security clearance requirements for U.S. government work.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Bulgarian and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, community, legal, or government preferred).
• Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural competency.
• Excellent telephone communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Bulgarian English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
• Interpret in immigration, legal, and administrative settings with accuracy and impartiality.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to USCIS/DHS compliance standards.
• Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge calls.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality audits.
