Job summary

World Business Lenders is seeking an Executive Leader to head the Asset Resolution Department, directing nationwide default litigation and recovery strategies. The role oversees counsel teams and outside firms, coordinating with leadership to optimize portfolio performance and legal risk.

Key duties include setting strategy, managing budgets, and delivering data-driven insights to executive leadership. A JD and 10+ years in related litigation are required, with remote work options supported.

Qualifications

• Must hold a J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and maintain an active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 10+ years of substantive legal experience in multi-state foreclosure and default litigation with strong understanding of procedures and timelines.
• Experience leading a national or multi-state foreclosure/default litigation function and managing 10+ attorneys.
• Experience selecting, retaining, and evaluating outside counsel and managing legal spend.
• Strong ability to analyze large case volumes and generate data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and legal oversight for the Asset Resolution Department nationwide.
• Direct nationwide default litigation and recovery strategies, overseeing counsel and outside counsel relationships.
• Develop and implement litigation, settlement, and recovery strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee portfolio of hundreds of matters, ensuring timely deadlines and quality execution.
• Prepare executive reporting and analytics on recoveries, spend, and portfolio trends.
• Collaborate with C-suite and cross-functional teams on risk assessment and portfolio optimization.
• Establish policies, metrics, and accountability to strengthen legal risk management and operations.
