Intact Insurance U.S. is seeking a Senior Underwriting Manager for our Surety team, remotely within Texas. You will oversee profitability, pricing, and retention for a regional book, while guiding underwriting strategy and maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (MBA/CPCU desirable) and 7–10 years in insurance with 5–7 years in supervision. The role offers a base salary in the $209k–$245k range plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• MBA or CPCU designation highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7-10 years or progressively complex insurance experience.
• 5-7 years of supervisory experience.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for financial performance of Specialty insurance products in assigned territory or region including: accident year loss ratio, premium plans, and commission targets.
• Manages underwriting quality and book management; analyzes trends and ensures adherence to underwriting strategy and approvals.
• Acts as primary underwriting referral resource within the region; evaluates exposures and makes underwriting decisions within authority levels.
• Ensures compliance with underwriting standards and monitors regional results; conducts audits as needed.
• Provides strategic input and may assist with guidelines, product and system modifications.
• Participates in producer meetings and agency planning; communicates service standards.
• Oversees staff development and may manage Underwriters/Underwriting Associates; drives training and skill growth.
• May drive new business production for assigned territory and maintain key agency relationships.
