Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC in the United States seeks a Senior Underwriter with Artisan E&S experience. This role focuses on reviewing applications, pricing, and building durable broker relationships to support growth.

You will manage risk across liability lines, conduct market research, and adhere to underwriting authority while developing a profitable book within your territory. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years E&S underwriting are required.

Qualifications

• 4 year bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 5+ years of relevant middle-market E&S underwriting experience.
• Studies toward RPLU/CPCU/AU/CIC or equivalent designation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal policy applications to classify risk and determine pricing.
• Communicate with brokers within designated time frame and provide underwriting guidance.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to underwriting authority and guidelines.
• Cultivate internal and external relationships to facilitate underwriting and growth.
• Develop understanding of factors affecting policy rating and risk.
