NV5 is seeking a Senior Transportation/Traffic Engineering Planner for our San Diego, CA area. The role may be remote, but requires the ability to travel across California for meetings and site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an advanced degree in City or Urban Planning.
• Minimum of 7 years of directly related professional work experience; experience in California is a must.
• Licensed TE or PE in California.
• Experience with Synchro, Vissim, SimTraffic, VMT, TDM.
• Excellent writing and business development skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform transportation planning and traffic design studies with limited supervision.
• Drive business development by building relationships and pursuing opportunities.
• Mentor and train other staff as needed.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews on projects to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Prepare project scopes, proposals, and public involvement materials.
• Travel throughout California for meetings and site visits; coordinate with clients and team.
