Job summary

Egis is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer in California to join a leading international engineering organization. You will apply advanced traffic engineering theory to complex projects, review designs, and lead pursuit efforts while ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.

The role requires a CA PE/TE license, 15+ years of experience, and strong writing and communication skills. Expect collaboration across disciplines in a hybrid work environment with nationwide opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• CA Traffic Engineering License required; PE license desirable.
• 15+ years of traffic engineering design/operations experience.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Synchro, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with Caltrans standards and MUTCD guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced traffic engineering theories to assignments.
• Review plans, calculations, specs for quality and conformity.
• Serve as technical expert for traffic signal, signing & striping design.
• Lead project pursuit teams and contribute to proposals.
• Prepare project reports and feasibility studies.
• Sign and stamp plans where authorized; ensure QC/QA.
• Collaborate with staff at all levels and with marketing.
• Develop design solutions and recommendations for improvements.
