Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our Power team. This role can be performed from anywhere in the United States and requires a PE license with extensive experience in transmission line design at or above 115 kV.

You will supervise engineers and collaborate with project managers, vendors, and clients to deliver design packages, supporting construction and procurement efforts. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of related engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer license in the United States is mandatory.
• Experience with transmission lines at or above 115 kV.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of professionals or small teams in the Power sector to deliver projects.
• Prepare/review engineering deliverables for transmission lines.
• Prepare/review material lists, construction details, drawings and diagrams.
• Oversee procurement activities and deliverables.
• Review supplier bids and technical submissions.
• Mentor and provide technical support to team members.
• Coordinate with discipline leads, project managers, vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth information flow for design and construction.
• Document and track project tasks and design documents.
