Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions seeks a Senior Training Instructor to prepare and deliver technical, skill-based training across its workforce, including new hires and apprenticeship participants. The role partners with the Training and Development Director to design effective training solutions.

Travel up to 50% to regional offices is required; remote work is supported. Strong experience with training programs, curriculum development, and delivering in-person sessions is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing training programs and curriculums, including short-duration and long-duration learning.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and CDL training requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for in-person instruction.
• Ability to convey complex information to staff at all levels.
• Self-directed, with strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Apprenticeship Program Curriculum Development/Revision via needs assessments and design.
• Lead Apprenticeship Program Course Delivery and Presentation with public speaking and scheduling.
• Drive organizational training projects addressing company-wide needs and monitor effectiveness.
• Support skill development initiatives for employees at all levels; evaluate candidates for programs.
• Collaborate with Training and Development Director and other leaders to design training solutions.
• Conduct gap analyses to identify development opportunities and align employees with training paths.
• Develop and deliver training materials, including technical content; facilitate sessions across locations.
• Track and maintain training records; ensure audit and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through participant progress and outcomes.
• Stay current as SME by attending industry events and continuing education.
• Support recruitment by evaluating new hires for training potential.
• Position reports to Director of Training and Development; travel up to 50%.
