Job summary

Centuri Group in Kyle, Texas, seeks a Multi-Site Electrical Training Instructor to serve as SME for technical skills training and apprenticeship evaluation. You will lead and refine our internal training program for field crews, ensuring competency and safety standards across sites.

You will collaborate with safety teams to deliver a holistic program, assess journeyman progress, and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements. Travel for overnight stays is required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; degree or accreditation preferred.
• 10+ years electric transmission and/or distribution construction experience required. Prior training experience expected.
• OSHA Authorized Trainer, FA/CPR/AED, and/or other safety training certifications preferred.
• Ability to travel for overnight stays and arrange own travel.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, smartphone and tablet applications.
• Must have excellent computer and organizational skills.
• Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct training and evaluations through knowledge of electrical standards of practice.
• Evaluate skill level and competency of new hires and apprentices.
• Instruct and evaluate field employees on compliance with company, customer and regulatory requirements.
• Verify proper instruction on safety and technical skills.
• Advance the safety culture through core values and practical application.
• Seek opportunities to improve training content and delivery methods.
• Apply adult learning theory to maximize training for all learners.
• Develop and manage a conducive training/evaluation atmosphere.
• Perform other duties as requested by leadership.
