Job summary

Major, Lindsey & Africa seeks a Senior Trademark and Brand Protection Attorney (Enforcement Lead) for a 12-month contract. The role requires 5+ years of substantial trademark and brand enforcement experience, ideally from a large technology company, and will serve as the lead for the brand enforcement program.

The position is fully remote anywhere on the East Coast, but candidates must be licensed to practice in New York.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in trademark and brand enforcement, preferably in a large tech company.
• Ability to lead a global brand enforcement program with minimal supervision.
• Strong judgment to assess risks and prioritize disputes and actions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, plus project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead global trademark and brand enforcement activities.
• Manage trademark watch reviews and enforcement assessments.
• Conduct domain name enforcement investigations and strategy development.
• Oversee website, marketplace, social media, and other takedown programs.
• Draft and file UDRP and manage related proceedings.
• Draft responses to USPTO and, if applicable, CIPO trademark office actions.
• Support oppositions, cancellations, and adverse proceedings.
