Job summary

Omnidian, Inc. in Seattle, WA, is seeking a hands-on Technical Operations Manager to oversee performance for a solar and storage portfolio. You’ll be the main technical contact for clients, work with Portfolio Managers, and coordinate field services to deliver exceptional outcomes.

The role emphasizes field leadership, asset optimization, and continuous improvement through SOPs, QA/QC, and close collaboration with partners and engineers. Remote work possible.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a solar technician, installer, OEM field service engineer, or similar role, with at least 2 years in Commercial Solar.
• Experience with 1000V+ DC systems, 3-phase AC interconnections, and diagnostics for projects >500kW.
• 4+ years in the solar energy industry with leadership in account/asset operations or field service coordination.
• Familiarity with energy storage technologies and solar monitoring platforms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for a portfolio of ~250-350 MW of solar assets.
• Review service reports and participate in weekly client check-ins for technical input.
• Coordinate and manage service tickets with field partners and internal teams.
• Support onsite technicians during service work and during check-out calls.
• Collaborate with external engineering firms for retrofits, repowering, and redesigns.
• Contribute to SOPs, QA/QC programs, and product development initiatives.
