Job summary

Hidden Jobs is seeking a Technical Operations Manager for its Commercial team to oversee performance assurance for distributed solar PV and energy storage assets. You will serve as the primary technical contact for clients and coordinate cross-functional field activities to keep 250–350 MW of assets performing at peak.

This remote role emphasizes client engagement, data-driven improvements, and collaboration with external engineers on retrofits and system upgrades.

Qualifications

• Background as a commercial solar technician or installer who enjoys working with clients and partners.
• Strong technical knowledge of distributed solar PV and energy storage systems.
• Experience coordinating field service activities and working with multiple stakeholders.
• Comfort investigating performance data through site monitoring platforms and acting on findings.
• Clear communication skills for client-facing conversations and cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned clients, reviewing service visit reports and joining weekly client check-in calls to provide on-the-spot expertise.
• Build strong relationships with clients, field service partners, internal team members, and other asset stakeholders.
• Investigate asset issues using site monitoring platforms and initiate activities that improve performance.
• Create, manage, and oversee tickets for planned and unplanned service activities, coordinating with field service partners.
• Support onsite technicians during service work and check-out calls, and collaborate with external engineering firms on retrofits, repowering, and redesigns.
• Own the technical aspects of the Commercial Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) program, including sales support, pricing proposals, scope development, and contract review.
