Job summary

Worky seeks an experienced Technical Architect/Lead to guide our microservices platform and balance strategic design with practical implementation. Reporting to the CTO, you will shape architectural decisions, manage debt prioritization, and provide hands-on leadership to a team of 8–12 developers.

You will design scalable solutions using Ruby on Rails, Node.js/TypeScript, React, and cloud infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years in technical architecture or team leadership.
• Proven track record leading engineering teams and complex projects.
• Experience with microservices architecture at scale.

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural decisions across all microservices and the entire application ecosystem.
• Own the technical roadmap and architecture evolution for the platform.
• Lead modernization initiatives and break down work into actionable plans.
• Mentor and provide hands-on technical guidance to the team of 8–12 developers.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, reviews and development processes.
