Job summary

Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our award-winning GovCon team. The role emphasizes DevOps, IaC, and cloud operations across Linux/Windows environments.

Responsibilities include building servers, automating with Python/PowerShell, enforcing STIGs, and managing AWS resources. A Secret clearance and strong communication are required for success in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of professional IT experience.
• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Experience with system integration testing across the full SDLC.
• Experience in Agile project management environments.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Expertise in Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Experience with patching (yum, APT) and server builds (virtual/physical).
• Experience with Cloud Providers and cloud operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform Linux and Windows builds, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of servers.
• Implement DISA STIG compliance across systems and networks.
• Develop server builds for virtual and physical environments.
• Manage and deploy tools like Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Design scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
• Use Salt and Ansible for automation and orchestration.
• Manage accounts, document systems, and patch security updates promptly.
• Administer AWS cloud environments including provisioning and monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support agile workflows.
