Apex Structural Engineering in St. Louis, MO seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex structural projects as a client-facing representative under a Project Executive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited university.
• PE and/or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure required.
• Typically ten or more years of relevant structural engineering experience, including demonstrated project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing large, complex, and/or fast-paced structural engineering projects.
• Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles, structural systems, building codes, design standards, construction practices, and project delivery.

Responsabilités

• Manage large, complex, high-profile, and/or fast-paced structural engineering projects from project initiation through design, documentation, permitting, and construction under the oversight of a Project Executive.
• Establish and manage project scope, fee and budget, schedules, staffing plans, deliverables, and execution strategies appropriate for the size and complexity of the project.
• Monitor project financial performance, staffing, progress, and remaining effort; identify scope changes and additional services; and make adjustments necessary to maintain successful project performance.
• Lead project teams that may include Project Managers, Associate Project Managers, Project Engineers, BIM/modeling team members, and technical specialists by establishing priorities, providing direction, and coordinating project execution.
• Anticipate project staffing and resource needs and coordinate with Project Executives and other Project Managers to effectively allocate resources across multiple projects and teams.
• Provide high-level technical leadership and guidance for complex structural analysis, design, modeling, constructability, coordination, and construction- related issues.
• Oversee project deliverables and QA/QC processes to promote technical accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and Apex standards.
• Lead coordination with architects, MEP/FP consultants, contractors, fabricators, owners, and other project participants and facilitate resolution of significant multidisciplinary issues.
• Lead external project meetings and serve in a client-facing role, effectively communicating project status, structural requirements, coordination items, schedule considerations, risks, and solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners by understanding their priorities, anticipating their needs, and providing responsive and dependable project delivery.
• Anticipate technical, coordination, schedule, staffing, financial, and client-related risks and work with the Project Executive and project team to develop appropriate strategies to address them.
• Lead the development of project scopes, fees, schedules, staffing plans, and execution strategies for new projects, additional services, and project pursuits.
• Participate in Apex's business development and marketing efforts, including developing client relationships, identifying new and repeat project opportunities, supporting proposals and interviews, and representing Apex at appropriate client and industry events.
• Provide leadership, technical guidance, and project management development to Project Managers, Associate Project Managers, and Project Engineers.
• Participate in Apex Technical Advisory Groups and contribute to the continued improvement of engineering standards, project management practices, QA/QC procedures, technical resources, and project delivery processes.

Formation
