Apex Structural Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Associate Project Manager who will bridge structural engineering and project management, providing technical direction while coordinating teams in St. Louis.

You will manage scope, schedule, staff, and budget on smaller projects and support larger ones, engaging clients and coordinating with architects, MEP/FP and fabricators. This role offers a family-friendly, hybrid work environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Typically five or more years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• PE or SE licensure preferred and may be required by project.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis, building systems, load paths, and design with steel, concrete, masonry.
• Proficiency with structural analysis/design software and reviewing complex models.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and coordinate with parties.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage smaller or less-complex structural projects under PM oversight.
• Support planning, coordination, and execution of larger projects.
• Perform structural analysis and design while expanding management duties.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP/FP, contractors and fabricators.
• Provide technical direction to engineers and BIM/modeling staff.
• Review calculations, models, drawings for accuracy per Apex standards.
• Participate in external project meetings and report status to clients.
• Assist with developing project scopes, fee proposals, schedules, and resource plans.
• Develop client relationships through professional communication.
