Job summary

Apex Structural Engineering Inc in Creve Coeur, MO, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex structural projects and act as the client-facing representative. You will oversee scope, budget, schedule, and team performance across multiple disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.

Guided by a Project Executive, you will mentor Project Managers and engineers, drive business development, and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Typically ten or more years of relevant structural engineering experience, including project management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure required.
• Experience leading large, complex, fast-paced structural engineering projects.
• Experience managing project scope, fees/budgets, schedules, staffing, and finances.

Responsibilities

• Manage large, complex structural engineering projects from initiation to construction under a Project Executive.
• Establish and manage scope, fee, budgets, schedules, staffing, and execution strategies.
• Monitor financial performance, staffing, and progress; adjust as needed for success.
• Lead project teams including PMs, engineers, BIM/modeling, and technical specialists.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP/FP consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Provide high-level technical leadership on structural analysis, design, and constructability.
• Oversee QA/QC, ensure accuracy, and maintain Apex standards.
• Develop client relationships, pursue new opportunities, and support proposals.
• Lead external project meetings and communicate status, risks, and solutions.
