Job summary
Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior structural engineer to perform reviews and analyses for utility-scale renewable projects. The role is remote within the United States, with occasional travel for site evaluations and client meetings.
You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop design specifications, support project financing, and produce technical reports for owners, developers, and authorities. A strong background in power-plant structures is essential.
Qualifications
- We require a Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering with a structural specialty; a Master's is a plus.
- 10+ years of detailed structural design experience, including mass concrete, steel, piles and lattices.
- 5+ years of power generation or distribution structural design experience.
- Ability to write and support Structural Engineering specifications and reports.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural engineering reviews and analyses for power projects.
- Prepare structural design specifications and calculations.
- Advise developers to support solar, wind, storage, and other projects.
- Evaluate new projects to support financing and rank feasibility.
- Develop technical reports for owners, developers, agencies and financiers.
- Occasional domestic/international travel.
