Job summary

Switch is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our DE team, delivering mission-critical data center design and optimization across U.S. campuses.

You will lead structural design efforts, supervise consultants, and advance design standards to meet performance and cost goals. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, mentor junior engineers, and travel less than 25% for site assessments and reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field, PE license ideal.
• 8+ years design experience on large-scale, mission-critical facilities.
• PE licensed engineers preferred with data center exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design efforts for data centers across U.S. campuses.
• Supervise consultants to ensure Switch standards and performance.
• Develop and evolve design standards, processes and equipment qualification.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, utilities, and inspectors.
• Mentor junior engineers and support cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Travel less than 25% for site assessments and reviews.
