Cribl, the remote‑first data observability leader, seeks a Senior Staff Software Engineer for the Security Products team to architect post‑detection workflows and autonomous reasoning systems that enable SOCs to operate at machine speed.

You will use LLMs, embeddings, and context graphs, collaborate with Cribl Detect, and shape safe execution frameworks with clear reasoning trails. Expect on‑call duties and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience (Master's preferred).
• 12+ years of experience building scale production software in enterprise settings.
• Experience leading AI SOC, SOAR, or post‑detection automation at scale.
• Proven ability to design and operate low‑latency distributed systems for asynchronous processing.
• Deep understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and security analyst workflows.
• Strong ability to design robust API frameworks for security platforms (EDR, SIEM/SOAR).

Responsibilities

• Architect post‑detection workflows including autonomous triage and evidence synthesis.
• Build production‑grade reasoning systems using LLMs, embeddings, and context graphs.
• Collaborate with Cribl Detect to ingest detection signals and trigger investigations.
• Explore agentic paradigms and multi‑agent frameworks, validating concepts via prototypes.
• Write core abstractions and review critical code to ensure model accuracy and latency benchmarks.
• Build safe execution frameworks with transparent reasoning trails and human‑in‑the‑loop controls.
