Job summary

Vaco is hiring a Senior Staff Accountant for a remote role within Florida. The position focuses on managing day-to-day accounting across e-commerce channels, including inventory, COGS, AP, and month-end close.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in accounting, experience with CPG/e-commerce and advanced Excel skills. Responsibilities include reconciliations across Amazon, Shopify, and other channels, plus collaboration with senior finance leadership on reporting and audits.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience with inventory accounting and COGS.
• Experience with Amazon and Shopify accounting/reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily and monthly accounting across multiple sales channels.
• Perform inventory and COGS accounting and related journal entries.
• Reconcile Amazon, Shopify, payment processors, bank accounts and credit cards.
• Manage accounts payable and vendor reconciliations.
• Support month-end close process.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and prepaid expense schedules.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support sales tax reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Assist with retail and wholesale accounting and reconciliations.
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls with growth.
