Job summary

Propeller Industries is seeking an Accounting Manager for CPG/E-comm clients, delivering weekly, monthly and year-end accounting. The role leads a team of accountants, coordinating with Directors/CFOs to manage client relationships and ensure timely financial reporting.

You will guide policies, procedures, and controls, and support growth of client portfolios across consumer brands and ecommerce. Remote role with periodic in-person meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of operational accounting experience across multiple clients.
• Full-cycle accounting for consumer product or Food & Beverage companies.
• Working knowledge of inventory systems (Dear, Cin7 Core).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Experience with QBO or Netsuite and Shopify.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close for a multi-client portfolio with international accountants.
• Prepare monthly financial statements with trend and variance analysis.
• Own core accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Streamline workflows and document complex processes with clients.
• Prepare federal, state, and local tax filings (e.g., 1099s, Delaware Franchise).
• Support audits and due diligence as needed.
• Engage with clients to deliver high quality service across industries.
• Mention mentoring and delegate work to balance workload.
• Collaborate with Propeller Directors/CFOs on client relationships.
