Job summary

Merative is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to lead the direction of cloud-scale imaging and PHI-bearing workloads. You will set reliability standards, drive observability, and own incident response across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or infrastructure operations.
• Demonstrated experience operating production SaaS at scale with formal availability commitments.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing operational automation that measurably reduced manual effort.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to engineers across teams.
• Define, publish, and govern SLOs, indicators, and error budgets for the platform.
• Set observability standards and drive adoption across teams.
• Own incident lifecycle from detection to post-incident review and drive corrective actions.
• Lead capacity planning, performance engineering, and disaster recovery design.
• Design automation strategy for platform operations and tooling.
• Build self-service tooling for routine operational tasks.
• Automate collection of evidence for security and PHI compliance controls.
• Adhere to company processes and budget planning; collaborate across functions.
