Job summary

Merge is seeking a senior reliability engineer to own the reliability strategy for PHI-bearing cloud platforms, establishing SLOs, observability, and automation across teams. You will drive incident lifecycle management, capacity planning, and resilience design with influence rather than reporting lines.

Qualifications

Degree in CS, Eng or related field; or equivalent industry experience.
10+ years of software, systems engineering or infrastructure operations experience.
Experience delivering reliability and automation at scale.

Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineers across development, QA, and operations teams.
Interact with management on matters across multiple functional areas and customers.
Act as senior escalation point for complex/high-severity production issues.
Drive reliability by design reviews, pairing, and blameless post-incident learning.
Lead initiatives to generate innovative products and services.
