Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems seeks a Senior Cost Estimating Analyst to lead cost estimating for spacecraft programs. This role can be based in Palo Alto, CA, or remote within the U.S., focusing on both commercial and government contracts.

Responsibilities include developing BOEs and WBS, analyzing proposals, and ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS/CAS/TINA while leveraging industry tools like SEER-H, TruePlanning, and ProPricer. Strong communication with leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• US citizenship or permanent residency required.
• 5+ years cost estimating experience in aerospace/defense or related field.
• Experience with multiple estimating methods: parametric, build-up, analogy.
• Ability to develop BOEs, WBS, and cost documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimating for spacecraft systems and components across programs.
• Analyze RFPs, SOWs, TRDs and other docs to develop accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with program mgmt, engineering, finance, and contracts to align tech and cost.
• Create engineering build-ups with labor, materials, and direct costs.
• Produce submission-ready cost documentation and cost volumes.
• Ensure FAR/DFARS/CAS/TINA compliance where applicable.
• Develop parametric estimates and CERs from historical data.
• Present estimates and methods to executive leadership.
• Improve estimating processes, tools, and databases.
• Support government audits and review activities.
