Job summary

Tecolote Research, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Cost Analyst to estimate costs, perform cost analyses, and advise program managers on financial aspects of space vehicles, ground segments, software suites, and integration infrastructure for Space Force programs.

The role requires 8–15 years in cost estimating, DoD/NRO/NASA/NOAA experience, and mastery of cost modeling tools; strong communication skills are essential in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• 8-15 years of cost estimating/analysis for DoD/DoW, NRO, NSA, NASA, NOAA
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree desired
• MS Excel required; 4+ years with ACEIT/USCM/SEER/SSCM/NICM
• Strong verbal and written communication; fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop cost estimates, perform risk analyses, and generate estimate documentation
• Work with program managers, technical teams, leaders, contractors to develop program descriptions and acquisition documents
• Research designs, identify cost drivers, build dynamic estimates modeling system costs
• Present results to Government customers and their chain of command
• Provide data-driven insights and make recommendations to Government customers
• Analyze contractor data, generate independent cost projections, support source selection processes
• Support and participate in technical and program management reviews
• Advise leaders with accurate, defendable cost positions
