Job summary

Intuitive Machines, a leading space tech company, seeks a Senior Cost Estimating Analyst to lead cost estimating for spacecraft programs. You will analyze RFPs, develop built-up estimates, and ensure alignment with technical solutions across commercial and government contracts.

The role requires extensive aerospace cost estimating experience, proficiency with parametric and engineering build-up methods, and strong collaboration with program management, engineering, and contracts teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of cost estimating experience in aerospace, defense, or related technical industry.
• Experience with multiple cost estimating methodologies including parametric, analogy-based, and engineering build-up approaches.
• Experience creating work breakdown structures, bases of estimates, and supporting cost documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimating efforts for spacecraft systems, subsystems, and components across programs.
• Analyze RFPs, SOWs, TRDs, and other proposal docs to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with program management, engineering, finance, and contracts teams to align technical solutions with cost estimates.
• Create engineering build-up estimates with labor, materials, and other direct costs.
• Generate bases of estimates, BOMs, WBS, and cost volumes for submissions.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS/CAS/TINA when applicable.
• Develop parametric CERs using historical data and industry benchmarks.
• Present cost estimates and methodologies to executive leadership.
• Support audit reviews by government agencies as required.
