Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking a Senior Site Activation Manager II to lead start-up and site activation for complex studies. You will collaborate with sponsors, regulatory stakeholders, and sites to ensure readiness, compliance, and on-time delivery.

You will mentor colleagues, drive process improvements, and shape best practices across site activation projects. Remote role with global teams and a strong emphasis on quality and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a scientific field or related clinical research experience.
• Minimum seven years CRO/pharmaceutical industry experience in start-up/site management or related functions.
• Strong leadership, project management, planning, and organizational skills.
• Thorough understanding of clinical trial start-up, site activation, and study planning.
• Knowledge of ICH GCP guidelines and FDA/EU regulations.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee study start-up and site activation activities across assigned clinical research projects.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for site activation deliverables, timelines, and performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure critical path activities are completed on time and within budget.
• Monitor site identification, qualification, essential document collection, regulatory submissions, and contract progression.
• Assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues as needed to support on-time delivery.
• Track and communicate site activation metrics, milestones, and status to sponsors and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain site activation plans with project teams and ensure budgets reflect study requirements.
• Contribute to proposals, budgets, bid defense, and other business development activities.
• Coach and mentor Site Activation Managers and support SOP development and best practices.
