Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technology across the ServiceNow platform. You will lead discovery sessions, translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborate with product owners and delivery teams to prioritize backlogs in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

You will facilitate communication between business and technical teams, coordinate UAT, document defects, and support change requests to drive successful ServiceNow

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Process Analyst in IT.
• 4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience (ITSM/CSM/FSM/Asset)
• Current ServiceNow CSA certification is required
• At least one additional active ServiceNow certification is required
• Experience gathering requirements and translating to user stories, acceptance criteria, and specs
• Strong Agile/Scrum experience with sprint planning and backlog refinement
• Experience supporting UAT, defect tracking, and solution validation
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management
• Ability to work in cross-functional and multi-vendor environments

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions and requirements workshops with stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Prioritize backlogs with product owners and delivery teams in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Facilitate communication between business and technical teams through the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate UAT, document defects, and support issue resolution.
• Prepare project status updates and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Manage scope discussions and support change requests.
