Job summary

Twilio seeks a Senior Security Engineer, Incident Response to lead technical responses to security events across its global infrastructure. You will triage, contain, remediate, and drive post-incident improvements while partnering with R&D teams to build scalable processes and automation.

You’ll join a team of security engineers focused on bespoke and standard response playbooks, threat mitigation, and automation to scale the program. Remote work is available with restrictions for certain states.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security incident response in a production-cloud environment.
• Subject-matter expert on security issues and technologies.
• Ability to utilize AI for comprehensive, complex security incident response activities delivering high-fidelity detections.
• Advanced knowledge of service-oriented architectures and cloud security tools.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and extending their functionality.
• Experience with SOAR tools and automating manual security processes.
• Experience in AWS, GCP, or other large cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the response to security events and incidents across Twilio’s global infrastructure.
• Document incidents and projects; craft runbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Work cross-collaboratively to solve challenges from various threat actors and activity.
• Drive improvements from security events to enhance security and reliability posture.
• Rapidly acquire new technical skills in a fast-paced industry.
• Own the security incident lifecycle and participate in on-call rotation and RCAs.
• Mentor and support teammates to enable long-term career development.
