Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to work remotely, strengthening security across cloud, infrastructure, applications, and endpoints. You will assess the current landscape, prioritize remediation, and design automated security solutions with a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities include vulnerability management, patching, and cloud security across AWS and Azure, plus automation using Python/PowerShell.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in security engineering.
• Strong cloud security, application security, and infrastructure security.
• Experience with CrowdStrike and Microsoft Intune.
• Automation experience using Python or PowerShell.
• Proficiency with AWS and Azure.
• Experience leveraging AI tooling in security.
• Startup experience. Healthcare or veterinary industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive vulnerability management and remediation efforts.
• Lead patching, system hardening, and proactive security maintenance across endpoints, servers, cloud environments, applications, and other critical infrastructure.
• Evaluate the existing security environment and identify immediate risks, security gaps, misconfigurations, and opportunities to improve controls.
• Work across both AWS and Azure environments to strengthen cloud security and improve configurations and controls.
• Manage and optimise endpoint security capabilities using CrowdStrike and Intune.
• Partner with application, infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams to incorporate security into existing systems and new technology initiatives.
• Develop scripts to automate security activities, remediation, reporting, system checks, and other security processes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual security work through automation and orchestration.
• Evaluate and leverage AI-enabled security tooling to improve security operations.
• Support application security initiatives across the lifecycle.
