Job summary

NTT DATA North America is seeking a Sr. SDET Engineer to design, implement, and manage comprehensive test strategies for web apps, APIs, and databases in Plano, Texas.

You will build scalable automation using Playwright, RestAssured, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG, and integrate tests into CI/CD with GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, and SonarQube. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and drive quality throughout the SDLC, including cloud testing on

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Agile development and Jira tool usage.
• 5+ years of testing distributed applications across multiple stack layers.
• 6+ years of experience in test automation design and execution using RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, TestNG.
• 6+ years of programming in Java/Spring Boot with strong SQL skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test strategies for web apps, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
• Lead end-to-end test management including planning, estimation, execution, defect tracking and release validation.
• Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java, Spring Boot, RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG.
• Design automation solutions for functional, integration, regression, API, and UI testing to improve coverage and quality.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, Developers, and DevOps to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies using Jira and CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD with GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, and SonarQube.
• Leverage Azure or AWS cloud platforms to support testing in cloud environments.
• Create and maintain detailed test docs, reports, and quality metrics.
