Job summary

Humana Inc. seeks a Senior Scrum Master to align multiple teams and drive SAFe practices, fostering high-performance delivery. You will guide Scrum events, mentor Product Owners, and remove impediments to enable rapid, value-driven outcomes.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in Agile, 3+ years as Scrum Master, and extensive experience with large-scale projects. Remote work with occasional travel is supported, along with a strong emphasis on data-driven improvement.

Qualifications

5+ years of related experience in an Agile environment.
3+ years of Scrum Master experience.
2+ years of experience working with agile methodologies on large scale, technically complex projects.
Thorough understanding of agile methodologies, values, practices and patterns.
Proven experience coaching and mentoring others.
Proven ability to facilitate the removal of impediments.
Advanced facilitation, presentation, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience with Agile Tracking tools (ADO, Jira, VersionOne, Rally).
Scaled Agile (SAFe) certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Guide the Scrum Team on how to use Scrum and SAFe practices to deliver high-quality products and services to customers.
Navigate through coaching stances while growing agile skills and mindset of team members.
Create an environment that empowers team members with accountability, adaptability, and collaboration.
Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement to support delivery and business outcomes.
Facilitate and support all Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective; support PI Planning and System Demos.
Mentor Product Owners in user story creation, prioritization and backlog refinement.
Remove impediments and preserve flexibility to respond to changes; make work visible.
Utilize data and metrics to demonstrate capacity, predictability and maturity.
Help teams navigate organizational change using Kotter/PROSCI ADKAR frameworks.
Collaborate with other Scrum Masters/Agile Coaches to improve practices.
