Job summary

WCG Clinical, Inc. is seeking a Senior Statistical Programmer to develop, validate, and document SAS programs for clinical trial data analysis and regulatory submissions.

You will lead programming activities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior programmers to ensure high-quality deliverables. The role requires at least 5 years of SAS programming, 2 years of macro programming, and 3+ years in pharma/biotech.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of SAS programming experience.
• 2 years of macro programming experience.
• 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, vaccines, biotech, or medical device industry.
• Phase 1–4 clinical trials experience.
• In-depth knowledge of CDISC requirements and SAP programming specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and document SAS programs for clinical trial datasets (SDTM, ADaM) and outputs for regulatory submission.
• Lead programming activities and manage resources, timelines, and priorities for studies and projects.
• Conduct QC checks and peer code reviews on programming deliverables.
• Collaborate with statisticians, data managers, and clinical teams to ensure requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot programming and data issues to ensure timely data reporting.
• Oversee and manage programming activities, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
• Mentor junior programmers on industry standards and best practices.
• Provide expertise in interpreting SAP programming specifications and project documentation.
• Coordinate multiple projects, adapt to evolving priorities, and drive process improvements.
