Job summary

MEDHOST, a division of Harris, seeks a Senior Software Engineer with deep RPG/CL, Db2 for i, and REST experience to design, implement, test, and debug IBM i applications in a healthcare technology setting.

You will lead technical efforts, mentor juniors, provide accurate estimates, and drive modernization and secure development aligned with MEDHOST standards. Remote US candidates welcome.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s degree with 3+ years, or a Bachelor's with 5+ years of experience.
• 7+ years of commercial product development experience.
• Proficiency in RPG, CL, Db2 for i, SQL, JSON, REST integrations; strong OOP and SOLID principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, construction, testing and debugging of IBM i applications.
• Provide accurate effort estimates and manage project parts.
• Mentor junior developers and guide architectural discussions.
• Ensure solutions are secure, maintainable and aligned with MEDHOST standards.
• Adopt AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, documentation and development workflows.
