Job summary
MEDHOST, a division of Harris, seeks a Senior Software Engineer with deep RPG/CL and IBM i skills to design, build, test, and debug complex healthcare software. Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's in computer science or engineering.
- 7+ years of commercial product development.
- Proficiency in RPGLE/RPG IV, CL, Db2 for i, SQL.
- Solid understanding of OOP and SOLID principles.
- Experience with Agile in distributed environments.
- Experience shipping a software product.
- Knowledge of testing types (unit, system, integration, performance).
- Strong communication and mentoring ability.
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, test, and debug technical solutions.
- Provide effort estimates and meet defined schedules.
- Identify and recommend solutions for system deficiencies.
- Take full responsibility for project parts.
- Resolve high-complexity development issues.
- Facilitate task prioritization for junior staff.
- Mentor and coach other developers.
