Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is recruiting a Senior Rhapsody Interface Engineer / Server Administrator to own the Rhapsody integration platform across multiple environments. You will design, implement, and scale complex clinical interfaces with Epic and Oracle Health, while mentoring a high-performing engineering team.

You will work remotely from anywhere in the U.S., with in-office requirements in Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. four days per week for those locations.

Qualifications

• Epic Bridges certification (current or prior).
• 7+ years of experience in healthcare interface engineering or integration development.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Rhapsody Interface Engine in a production environment.
• 3+ years of integration experience with a major EMR/EHR platform such as Epic or Oracle Health.
• 3+ years of experience administering server operating systems (Red Hat Linux and Windows).
• 3+ years of experience with HL7, FHIR, DICOM.
• 3+ years of supporting high availability 24x7 healthcare systems.
• 1+ years mentoring or providing technical leadership to engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, performance, and architecture of the Rhapsody environment across environments.
• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Rhapsody; manage backups and DR.
• Administer Red Hat Linux and Windows servers; apply patches and tune performance.
• Monitor health, availability, and performance; troubleshoot production issues.
• Design high availability architectures, including VMs, clustering, load balancing.
• Provide design oversight, code reviews, and guidance to interface engineers.
• Mentor team members and ensure security/compliance of integrations.
