Job summary

Optum Insight seeks a Senior Rhapsody Interface Engineer / Server Administrator to scale our healthcare integration platform across Epic, Oracle Health and third parties. You will own reliability, performance, and architecture of the Rhapsody environment while mentoring a high-performing Integration Engineering team.

You will design HA solutions, ensure security/compliance, and lead complex interface projects with Epic/Oracle Health and other EMRs.

Qualifications

• Epic Bridges certification (current or prior).
• 7+ years in healthcare interface engineering or integration development.
• 5+ years hands-on with the Rhapsody Interface Engine in a production environment.
• 3+ years integration with a major EMR/EHR such as Epic or Oracle Health.
• 3+ years administering server OS (Red Hat Linux, Windows) with access management and tuning.
• 3+ years experience with HL7, FHIR, DICOM.
• 3+ years supporting 24x7 healthcare systems.
• 1+ years mentoring or technical leadership to engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical owner for the Rhapsody integration platform across multiple environments.
• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Rhapsody with backups, DR, and hardening.
• Administer Red Hat Linux and Windows servers, including access controls and performance tuning.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot production issues.
• Design and maintain high availability architectures (VMs, clustering, load balancing).
• Develop architecture diagrams and operational standards.
• Design and support interfaces integrating Epic/Oracle Health with third party systems.
• Lead conversions from legacy systems to modern integration platforms.
• Provide SME guidance on HL7, FHIR, DICOM standards.
• Mentor engineers and enforce best practices and compliance.
