Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum Insight unit seeks a Senior Rhapsody Interface Engineer / Server Administrator to maintain, evolve, and scale our healthcare integration platform. You will own the Rhapsody environment, design high-availability architectures, and lead interface engineering across Epic, Oracle Health, and external EMRs while mentoring the team.

This role allows remote work from anywhere in the U.S.; Minneapolis or Washington, D.C.

Qualifications

• Epic Bridges certification (current or prior) required.
• 7+ years of healthcare interface engineering or integration development.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with the Rhapsody Interface Engine in production.
• 3+ years integration with a major EMR/EHR like Epic or Oracle Health.
• 3+ years administering Red Hat Linux and Windows servers.
• 3+ years experience with HL7, FHIR, DICOM standards.
• 1+ years mentoring or technical leadership in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, performance, and architecture of the Rhapsody environment.
• Design, develop, and support interfaces between Epic/Oracle Health and third parties.
• Lead conversion and migration efforts from legacy to modern platforms.
• Mentor the integration team and ensure security/regulatory compliance.
